There is nothing Arsene Wenger likes less than the sight of Mesut Ozil appearing to pick up a knock.
The international break is a source of perpetual frustration to Premier League managers, who are frequently losing their best players to injury because of it.
Ozil looked to be in discomfort during Germany’s 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland, and the last thing Arsenal need is for their playmaker to be ruled out, particularly as Aaron Ramsey is yet to return to full fitness.
Fortunately, Ozil has moved to allay fears he could miss this weekend’s game against Swansea, posting on Twitter:

The Gunners have managed to put a decent run together, even if Ozil has been a little erratic this season.
The player’s representatives are still yet to agree a new deal with the club, and rumours have resurfaced of a potential move to Real Madrid at the end of the campaign.
That may well unsettle him later on, but for now, at least it looks like he’s fully focused on getting back to Premier League action.
