Liverpool midfielder hands Jurgen Klopp fitness boost ahead of WBA

Liverpool have been handed a massive boost ahead of the weekend’s game against West Brom.

Georginio Wijnaldum has returned to training after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained on international duty with the Netherlands, reports Sky Sports.

The Reds lacked a cutting edge in the 0-0 draw with Manchester United and clearly missed their summer signing, who until that point had not missed a Premier League game this season.

There was plenty of good news elsewhere for Jurgen Klopp too, with defender Joe Gomez also able to complete a training session.

The one big concern for the Anfield boss will be the fitness of James Milner, who was forced off late on in Monday’s game, replaced by the ever-erratic Alberto Moreno.

Milner has been filling in at left-back after Moreno’s poor start to the season, but Klopp may be forced to replace his albeit limited faith in the Spaniard if the former England international is ruled out of the West Brom match.
