Jack Wilshere linked with permanent Arsenal exit

Jack Wilshere admits he may be forced to leave Arsenal after his revival at Bournemouth.

Injuries permitting, the midfielder looks all set to enjoy a successful loan spell on the South Coast, even regaining his spot in the England squad thanks to his recent performances.

Arsene Wenger has always had concerns over his fitness, and the 24-year-old is a player who hasn’t really yet lived up to the potential he showed as a teenager.

“Of course I love Arsenal but, if there comes a time when I have to leave, then I have to leave,” Wilshere said, via the Sun.

Many believe Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is performing part of his audition for the Arsenal job in getting the best out of the star, and it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise if the Cherries sought to make the deal permanent.

At present, Wilshere is 5/2 with Ladbrokes to stay at Dean Court beyond the end of this season, those odds changing to 10/1 for a contract to be offered in January.

The consensus seems to be that his time at the Emirates is up, but judging by the faith shown in him by Gareth Southgate, that might just be for the best.
