Cesc Fabregas’ house-hunting drops big hint about his next destination

Cesc Fabregas has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will move to AC Milan in the New Year.

The Sun report that the World Cup winner has been spotted eyeing up a house by Lake Como, not far from Milan’s training ground.

It’s no surprise that the midfielder is on the verge of leaving Chelsea, having started only one Premier League game all season.

Fabregas was ineffectual in that one start, as Antonio Conte’s side fell to a 3-0 defeat to his old club, Arsenal. And the man who has taken his place in midfield, N’Golo Kante, has been superb, starring in the weekend’s 3-0 win over champions Leicester City.

At 29, the former Barcelona star can’t afford to spend the last few years of his career on the bench, and so a move to Milan makes perfect sense.

The San Siro outfit are preparing for a massive takeover, and their prospective Chinese owners are determined to get them back fighting for the Serie A title, which Juventus have won five years in a row.

Fabregas may no longer be at his best, but it would still be a huge statement of intent.
