With the international break nearly at an end, Premier League fans can finally come out of hibernation with another weekend of decent football beckoning.
The latest round of fixtures will be another chance for the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City to prove their title credentials.
There’s plenty riding on it at the other end of the table too. Here’s what to look out for.
1 – Liverpool are priced at 1/1 to win away at Southampton. That’s probably largely because of what happened last season when they blew a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2. With Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana in their ranks, they’ll know exactly how the Saints will be operating, and the Reds couldn’t be in better form going into the game.
2 – Take a look at this acca with SkyBet: Liverpool and Arsenal to win, Spurs vs West Ham to be a draw, and Sunderland vs Hull to be a draw. It offers up odds of 76.2/1, so obviously it seems like a long shot. Yet, Arsenal could well get a result at Manchester United, West Ham always raise their game against misfiring Spurs, and Sunderland and Hull are both scrapping for their lives. Definitely worth a pound.
3 – Islam Slimani is at 5/1 to score first in Watford vs Leicester. The Foxes might be dreadful away from home, but the big striker has the perfect style to sting the Hornets.
4 – Bob Bradley’s the second favourite to be the next manager to leave. Just a reminder, he only got the Swansea job a matter of weeks ago. The Swans’ ruthless owners surely aren’t going to act that quickly, but it does mean the pressure’s on for him to deliver a result against Everton.
5 – Alexis Sanchez is at 13/2 to score first against Manchester United, which normally would be a sound bet. Chile have been playing with an injury, though, so don’t expect him looking too sharp at Old Trafford.
