Arsenal vs Manchester City
If Arsene Wenger is going to stay on at Arsenal, it seems he’s waiting for the right moment to announce it. A win over a top four rival, for example. The Gunners are 2/1 to beat Man City, and they do have an impressive record against the Sky Blues, only losing one of their last five Premier League games against them.
As much as all eyes will be on Wenger, Alexis Sanchez is also going to be a major talking point. The Chilean has spent the week being linked with Chelsea, but as we’ve seen so often in the past, that may spur him on, even more, to put himself in the shop window.
With both sides having notoriously leaky defences, this shouldn’t be a quiet affair, so we’re backing over 2.5 goals.
Recommended bet: Alexis Sanchez to score first at 5/1
Swansea vs Middlesbrough
Bear with us here – not the most exciting game of the weekend.
However, it does have the advantage that it could be a relegation six-pointer. The first thing to get backing is under 2.5 goals – if you don’t believe us, managerless Middlesbrough have scored just once in their last five Premier League games.
We wouldn’t recommend watching it, but there could still be money to be made. As for Swansea, they’re the favourites for this one at 10/11. Yet, they’ve lost their last two games to fellow bottom half teams. Fernando Llorente seems the best pick to score first, and Swansea’s top scorer is at 4/1 to do just that.
Recommended bet: Swansea and ‘Boro to draw at 12/5
