Man United vs Reading preview

Warren Joyce will face an emotional trip back to Old Trafford when his Wigan side visit for the 4th round of the FA Cup.

The former Manchester United coach has a number of former Red Devils in his ranks, including Nick Powell and Ryan Tunnicliffe, but his best hopes of a giant-killing rest on the shoulders of Will Grigg.

The Northern Irishman is at an ambitious 10/1 to score first, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is probably a more realistic bet at 5/2.

United haven’t failed to score in a game since their stalemate with Burnley in October, so there should be plenty of goals. A 3-0 win for the hosts is at 11/1, as if the previous round against Reading is anything to go by, Jose Mourinho will put out a reasonably strong side as he can’t afford a replay.

The Premier League’s sixth-placed side are at evens to win both halves, just as they did against Reading.

Ultimately, all the decent money here is going to be on how many United should score. For them to win by exactly two goals is at 3/1, whereas them winning by three goals is at 5/4, so none of this bodes at all well for Wigan.
