Man United out to avoid another slip-up vs Feyenoord

Manchester United will be unsure quite what to expect when they welcome Feyenoord to Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

Amidst a huge security operation for the Dutch side’s notorious travelling fans, the Red Devils will be hoping for an improvement on their performance last time the two sides met a couple of months back.

Jose Mourinho’s side lost that encounter 1-0 after Tonny Vilhena’s late winner, but their injury problems have only increased since then.

Feyenoord may well be able to take advantage of United’s fragile defence, with first-choice centre-backs Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling both out.

It’s likely that Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind will pair up in their place, which can only be a good thing if you’re a Feyenoord fan.

The best United may be able to hope for in the circumstances is the 1-1 draw priced at 8/1, as the weekend’s Premier League game against West Ham is now must-win after more dropped points against Arsenal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score a header is at 5/1, which isn’t a bad shout despite his goal drought, but Liverpool fans might be interested in another of SkyBet‘s more audacious offers.

Dirk Kuyt would obviously love to find the back of the net on his return to his old rivals, and it’s 12/1 for a combination of the Holland international to score and Ibrahimovic to be carded.
