Chelsea can take another massive step towards the title with another win at West Ham.
Eden Hazard should be fit for the short trip to the London Stadium despite picking up a knock in training and the Belgian could be the key to unlocking the Hammers’ defence, which isn’t the most solid.
Hazard has created 52 chances this season, scoring 10 goals.
Jose Fonte doesn’t seem to have improved Slaven Bilic’s back four at all, as they haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league since he joined from Southampton in mid-January.
Chelsea are at 11/8 to win with over 2.5 goals, so there’s not much value in that – the bookies are clearly expecting goals.
The best markets here are in the exact score, with Chelsea at 7/1 to win 2-1, or 13/2 to win 2-0.
Given that West Ham’s top scorer Andy Carroll will be fit again for Monday night, 2-1 might be a better option, though other than him, Bilic’s side don’t have an abundance of goal scorers.
And speaking of goal scorers, it’s incredible that Michy Batshuayi is still being featured among the most likely to score in 90 minutes.
However much Antonio Conte insists the former Marseille man is part of his plans, the reality is that he hasn’t started him once in the league, even when Diego Costa’s been unavailable.
Regardless, Chelsea should be pretty confident going into this one. Then again, their recent record against West Ham isn’t as good as you might expect – in their last three league encounters, the Blues have only won one, lost one, and drawn one. The East Londoners aren’t quite a bogey team, but Chelsea can’t afford to be too complacent and are going to have to fight hard for the three points.
