A tip for Leicester

Yesterday, Valley Of Rocks was very well backed all day yesterday. but ran very flat. The horse looked good, but found nothing when asked. Singing Sands ran OK but needs further now. We have a Notebook runner today, but it is on the sand at Wolverhampton and I do not bet on the sand. However, it will be interesting to see how Crownthorpe runs in the 6.40 as suffice to say I think this horse will make big improvement soon and be well backed at the right time. Probably not tonight, but the run will give an indication of future plans.

Tuesday 30th May

Leicester and Redcar are the only betting tracks for me today, with generally fast ground.
The 2.20 at Leicester is the second division of the maiden and it was hard to do the prices for this as there is very little form. In those cases, the best way is to assess the likely winning rating required to take the race and then to work backwards. On that basis the most likely winner is Leeshaan, who put up a performance on debut over 6 furlongs that would be close to the level required today. This extra furlong should also benefit the horse as he was slowly away but then produced some good times to go close at the end. I have marked him at 2.80, and it would have been shorter but for the limited form in the race. I always add a little bit to the price to compensate for that. He is 5/2 or better everywhere right now and, in the absence of any significant support for the opposition, I think he will start shorter. Take the price now.

Suggested Bet – Tuesday 30th May

2.20 Leicester – Leeshaan, 1.50 Points Win at 3/1 BlackType, 11/4 with William Hill, BetVictor, BetBright, 5/2 others.
