A bet at 7/1 for the unconvinced Spurs fan

For all the promise with which Bob Bradley arrived at Swansea, the American hasn’t been able to paper over the immense cracks appearing in their Premier League survival plan.

Last weekend’s last-gasp 5-4 win over Crystal Palace should not have been nearly as thrilling for the neutral as it was, and if the Swans defend like that again against Spurs, they’re going to have problems.

As for Tottenham, the unbeaten record is gone, but if anything, that could bring about a liberation of sorts. Instead of clinging onto points in games they should be winning, Mauricio Pochettino will now be urging his men to get forward and put the Welsh outfit up against it from the first whistle.

Spurs are at 3/1 to win by two goals, which isn’t a bad bet given that the spine of their side is finally returning.

Toby Alderweireld has completed full training sessions this week, and his absence has been felt arguably even more powerfully than Harry Kane’s.

For the more tentative Tottenham fan, a 1-0 win is at 7/1 with SkyBet.

One to avoid is Christian Eriksen at 6/1 to score first. Of course, that’s exactly what he did against Chelsea, but the Dane is nothing if he’s not inconsistent, and that goal against the Blues may have just salvaged his place in the side.
