18/1 Treble for City’s Champions League clash with Celtic

Celtic are guaranteed to finish bottom of Group C whatever happens when they face Manchester City at the Etihad.

Last time the two sides faced each other, the Hoops help Pep Guardiola’s superstars to a surprise 3-3 draw, but they’ll be lucky to escape with another result like that.

Guardiola will be expecting his men to bounce back from Saturday’s 3-1 humbling by Chelsea – SkyBet have City at 1/3 to win the game.

A slightly more worthwhile bet is BTTS and City to win, which is at 11/8, so £20 would still only end up winning you £47.50. It’s definitely worth betting against City keeping a clean sheet, though, as it’s now seven games since they’ve done so, and the fracas at the end of the Chelsea game will have unsettled them.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that Brendan Rodgers’ side scored four at the weekend, albeit against Motherwell.

The best value in that is probably 18/1 for BTTS, each team to win 4+ corners, and 20+ booking points for each team. The biggest risk is going to be the booking points, though the SPL Champions have had three players booked in two of their last three games, so it’s a decent possibility they’ll do it again.

Ultimately, the hosts are already qualified and Celtic have nothing to play for, but if anything that should open up the game a bit more – so we should be in for an interesting 90 minutes of football.
